Chris Gates

Born and raised in Minnesota. Move to Texas where I had extended family and started police work in 2005. I joined Texas DPS in 2008 and worked Highway Patrol in Fredericksburg and the Dallas area. I joined Texas DPS Aircraft Operations Division (AOD) in 2015 as a Tactical Flight Officer. Since coming on with Aircraft, I have worked in Dallas, Edinburg, and currently stationed in Austin. While a member of AOD, I have become an UAS 107, UAS instructor, aerial use of force instructor, and currently working on my instructor orders for rescue hoisting.
