Chris Lester

Chief Chris Lester has been in EMS for 21 years with 18 of those years serving Austin/Travis County Emergency Medical Services. During his career he has served in a wide range of capacities including: Field Paramedic, Field Training Officer, Supervisor, and as national educator in medical and rescue techniques. Chris is an active member of the Emergency Medical Task Force within the state of Texas with experience filling multiple roles to help mitigate disasters across the state. Currently at Austin/Travis County EMS Chris serves as a Division Chief over Operations. Chief Lester is also a founding member of the departments Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) team (SPARTAN) and currently serves as the teams Program Manager. He has been involved with multiple initiatives, both locally, and at the state level, that help steer the use of Unmanned Aircraft Systems within Public Safety.
