Dustin Nichols

Dustin Nichols is a Corporal assigned to the Texas Department of Public Safety's State Crash Reconstruction Team. He graduated the DPS academy in 2007 assigned to the Texas Highway Patrol where he specialized in crash reconstruction. He joined the 1B Tyler District Crash Team in 2012 and became an instructor in the crash reconstruction field in 2015. In 2020 he became a licensed 107 UAS Pilot and began focusing on using photogrammetry for forensic mapping for crash and crime scenes. He is the lead instructor for the department's photogrammetry program initiating the current training used to date.
