Co. âFâ Texas Ranger Reid Rackley began his career in law enforcement in September 2001 when he joined the U.S. Navy and served as a Master-at-Arms and deployed over seas for almost four years.
In 2008, Ranger Rackley attended the TXDPS academy. Upon graduation, he was stationed in McAllen and later in Harlingen.
In March 2013, he was promoted to Special Agent in the Criminal Investigations Division and stationed in Austin. His primary responsibilities involved the detection and investigation of crimes against children (specifically child sex trafficking).
In January of 2017, Rackley was promoted to Texas Ranger and stationed in Rio Grande City. In 2019, he transferred to Austin and later to his current station in Georgetown.
In 2017, Ranger Rackley obtained his part 107 sUAS license, and in 2018, he attended the inaugural remote pilot in command course in Florence. Ranger Rackley is heavily involved in UAS operations around the state and leads the efforts in uas maintenance for the Ranger Division. Ranger Rackley routinely supervises our Ranger UAS pilots who deploy to the border for operation lone star. Ranger Rackley has a deep understanding of the border environment and the challenges of operating in conjunction with manned assets.
Ranger Rackley obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice in 2014 and his Master of Science Degree in Criminal Justice in 2016.
